NEMPAC Election Center

Historic Election Year

The NEMPAC Board of Trustees, comprised of ACEP members, approves a candidate budget for each election cycle. Annually, the ACEP Federal Government Affairs (FGA) Committee develops and the ACEP Board of Directors considers a legislative and regulatory agenda to advance issues critical to ACEP members. A candidate’s and incumbent’s support of these priorities is a key factor in determining eligibility for a NEMPAC contribution. Other factors considered include the Member’s committee assignment, leadership position and difficulty of his/her election campaign. We also rely on the input of ACEP state chapter leadership, individual 911 Network members, and NEMPAC supporters when evaluating open seat and challenger races.

A MESSAGE FROM ACEP PRESIDENT REBECCA PARKER, MD, FACEP

NEMPAC had a strong presence in the recent congressional elections, helping to elect many friends and champions of emergency medicine to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

As you will agree, the need for effective representation in Washington, D.C. has never been greater for ACEP and its members.

With the new Congress poised to consider major changes to our healthcare delivery system, the important and essential role that NEMPAC plays in our federal advocacy efforts cannot not be overstated.

Your voice must be heard in Congress now and with your help NEMPAC will ensure that it is.

Thank you for your continued support of NEMPAC.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

When the 115th Congress comes back to work in January, they will be tackling issues that are critical to emergency physicians and our patients.
